Welcome to 1st Grade!

I am so excited to be your teacher this year and I look forward to getting to know each of you more as the year goes on.  This is my 7th year here at Jackson Keller and will by my 16th year in education.  I have taught Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade and have loved every moment of it. 

I atteded The University of Texas at San Antono where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with and emphasis in Children's Studies in 2004 and later returned to earn my Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy.  Once I completed my Master's Degree I became a certified Reading Specialist.  In 2020 I also gained my ESL certification.

When I'm not working, I love to spend time with my family, read, make a variety of crafts, listen to music, and watch 80's movies.  Things I love are hippos, pandas, dogs, the color pink, Big Red, always a must, Reese's Cups, Hot Funyuns, and Sour Powers in Chamoy. 

This year is going to be amazing and we are going to shine bright!
