Mrs. Sheyla Mori

My name is Sheyla Mori and I have been an educator for 14 years. Education has always been part of my life. My parents both former teachers have instilled in me love and respect for this profession. Approximately twelve years ago, my family and I decided to leave our beloved Puerto Rico to make San Antonio our new home. Since then I have had the opportunity of being part of this great community of students, teachers, and parents. Coker opened its doors, giving me the opportunity to do what I like and enjoy the most, BEING A TEACHER!

During my journey, I have worked with kinder, second and thrid grade as a dual language teacher. As a mother and a teacher, I understand the importance of parent teacher communication. This is why I encourage parents to share and openly communicate with me. TOGETHER IS BETTER!

I am looking forward to working with you and your child. Thanks in advance for your support. I know together we will make this year successful, filled with great accomplishments.

Mi nombre es Sheyla Mori, he sido maestra por mas alrededor de 14 años. Aunque la realidad es que esta profesión ha formado parte de mi vida desde siempre. Mis padres, ambos maestros retirados me han inculcado amor y respeto por esta profesión. Hace aproximadamente doce años atrás mi familia y yo decidimos dejar nuestra isla Puerto Rico para hacer de San Antonio nuestro nuevo hogar. Desde entonces he tenido la bendición de formar parte de la gran familia de Coker. Coker me abrió las puertas y me ha dio la oportunidad de hacer lo que más disfruto… SER MAESTRA!

Durante mi carrera como maestra he trabajado principalmente en el programa dual en kínder, segundo y tercer grado. Como madre y maestra entiendo la importancia de mantener una buena comunicación entre padres y maestros.  Creo firmemente que el éxito académico depende en gran medida de la comunicación entre ambas partes.
