Clifford the Big Red Dog stopped by to celebrate four very special North East ISD elementary school students!
Jorge Nava Jr. of El Dorado Elementary School, Rosalie Thompson of Walzem Elementary School, Ema Zapata of Larkspur Elementary School and Avery Kennerson of Ridgeview Elementary School all won a Scholastic gift basket, presented by Clifford.
Just before Spring Break, elementary students took home brand-new books as part of a ‘Spring Into Reading’ initiative. Students at Title 1 elementary campuses took home five new books full of learning activities to build language, vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical thinking and writing skills.
After Spring Break, students returned with a postcard to show their teachers what they had learned.
Jorge, Rosalie, Ema and Avery won the drawing for the Spring Challenge by reading and turning in their postcards.
