Welcome to Kindergarten! This is such an exciting year. We will have oodles of fun, stretch our minds, learn tons, take risks, grow into awesome leaders, innovate, create, and grow together as a classroom and school family. 

Here is a little about me...I am a native of San Antonio, growing up in NEISD schools. I attended the University of the South in Sewanee, TN where I earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science. From there I went straight to graduate school at Texas State University for my Masters in Education. This will be my 12th year teaching. I have taught fourth grade, sixth and seventh grade math, and Kindergarten. I love working with kids, empowering them to lead, create, innovate, and find their gifts, passions, a love of learning.

I am blessed to be mommy to spunky, sassy, bright, hilarious twin 4-year-old girls, Emery and Camille; they are the reason I was put on this planet and my joy. We love adventures of all kinds, planned and spontaneous, big and small...traveling, yoga (the hotter the better), working out, baking, spending time outdoors, being at the beach and pool, getting dirty in the garden, and monkeying around. We are obsessive crafters and voracious readers. If there isn't music on, we are singing and making our own, and there is a constant, ongoing dance party, no matter where we are. I see my classroom as an extension of my home--a safe place, filled with joy, laughter, acceptance, creativity, understanding, learning, fearlessness, diversity, problem-solving, thinking, tenacity, and love.

We are going to have a remarkable year and I am thrilled to be on this adventure together.
