Miss Holtz

Welcome to Newcomers 3rd-5th Grade!

I graduated from UTSA in 2001 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Communication. I received my alternative teaching certificate in 2004 as a 4-8 Generalist, following the completion of Region 20's alternative teaching program. I began my career in Northside where I taught for eight years. During that time, I earned my Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University in 2009 and principal certification. After leaving NISD, I taught for two years in Colorado Springs before returning to Texas. Since returning, I have been with NEISD, teaching two years at Jackson Middle School, six years at Nimitz Middle School, and I'm starting my second year at Camelot as well as it being my 20th year in education.

I am excited about teaching Newcomer students and exploring all the talents and possibilities that await them. I know they have so much to contribute to our community, and I look forward to advocating for them and bringing experiences to them that will help them to feel comfortable in their new country.
