• Aviation Technology & Maintenance Engineering

    The Aviation Technology & Maintenance Pathway provides a comprehensive introduction to the aviation industry. Students gain knowledge and skills in aircraft inspection, maintenance procedures, air navigational aids, air traffic controls, communications equipment, the principles and science of flight, and aviation engineering. Students can also obtain an industry certification, the FAA Part 107 Remote Drone Pilot certification, to boost their resume and career. This pathway ensures SETA graduates comply with federal safety regulations, preparing them for rewarding careers in the aviation industry. 

    Curriculum

    The Aviation Technology & Maintenance Pathway offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers both aviation and aviation maintenance. The Aviation Technology & Maintenance Engineering courses common to both fields are:

    Level 1:

    • M3026 - Introduction to Aerospace & Aviation *

    • H8121 - Introduction to Aerospace & Aviation

    • M3030 - Introduction to Aircraft Technology *

    • H8120 - Introduction to Aircraft Technology

    * SETA students may take these courses in middle school.

    After completing the foundational Level 1 courses, students can specialize in either the Aviation or Aviation Maintenance courses.

    Aviation Level 3:

    • H8356 - Aerospace Engineering

    Aviation Level 4:

    • H8259 - Scientific Research & Design
