I was born in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Odessa, Texas for my middle school and high school years.  I was a cheerleader in middle school and high school and ran track and cross-country as well.  I graduated from Permian High School and returned back to my home town to attend college.  

I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and cheered there as well.  Go Roadrunners!  I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.  I hold certifications in All Level Physical Education, Dance and Health. 

Upon graduating college, I taught elementary physical education for 14 years in SAISD.   For the next 6 years I was the Pep Squad Director at Churchill High School where I also taught health and physical education.  

I am currently teaching elementary physical education at El Dorado Elementary.  I am so excited to be in my 31st year of teaching and still loving all that I get to do!  

This school year I look forward to getting to know your child and having the opportunity to inspire him or her to become as excited as I am about the importance of physical activity, leading a healthy lifestyle and encouraging others to be true leaders and champions!  I also cannot wait for you to join me at our family fun community events.
