Unique Opportunities at Our Campus
For the past two years, Clear Spring Elementary has received all six TEA distinctions two years in a row, 2017/18 and 2018/19.
The milestone of a Leader in Me Lighthouse School was awarded to Clear Spring Elementary. We use the 7 Habits of Happy Kids and incorporate them into our classrooms, learning, and school atmosphere. At Hidden Forest, everyone is a leader and we work on helping students and staff identify the leadership qualities within each of us.
Clear Spring Elementary has been selected as a 2001 and 2007 Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. The Blue Ribbon, the most prestigious education award in the country, distinguishes Clear Spring Elementary for its excellence in leadership, teaching, curriculum, student achievement, parent involvement, and community support. In 2007, Hidden Forest was only one of only 264 elementary schools nationwide and one of 32 in Texas chosen for this exemplary recognition.

Dual Language Program
The Dual Language Program Model in NEISD is an enriched education program that provides instruction for native English speakers and native Spanish speakers in both languages. When possible, classes will be comprised of half native English speakers and half native Spanish speakers. The building of classes is dependent on the number of English Language Learners (Spanish dominant) students enrolled in that grade level. English Language Learner students are identified by mandated state assessments.
English as a Second Language Program
The Newcomer Program provides a safe and scaffolded learning environment where diversity is valued in transitioning students to meet high expectations for language acquisition, academic achievement, and responsible citizenship.
The NEISD Newcomer program is for recent arrival of refugees or asylees. This program provides the support of a safe learning environment in order for the students to begin acclimating to U.S. schools. The newcomer program assists students by providing linguistic, cognitive, and academic needs while holding high standards. The students will participate in the program for no more than 2 years as it depends on an individual student basis.
