I am honored to introduce myself as the newly appointed principal of Jackson Middle School. I have proudly served in North East ISD for the past 18 years and look forward to embarking on this journey with you. 

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to spend time at several campuses in the role of Assistant Principal. I was at Bush Middle School for five years, Johnson High School for five years and most recently Churchill High School. In addition, I also had the privilege of being the Summer School High School Principal for our District. Prior to being an administrator, I was a teacher and coach at Wood Middle School and Madison High School. 
 
Growing up my family moved every couple of years. This helped me learn to adapt quickly to change and learn how to build relationships. I attended Baylor University and got my first job out of college in San Antonio. I have been here ever since! My husband is an educator, and both of my children have attended North East ISD schools. I am happy to call San Antonio and North East ISD home.
 
Jackson Middle School has a history of strong leaders who have laid a solid foundation for this campus. Jackson has an outstanding faculty, exceptional students, strong traditions and a supportive community. I believe in fostering a positive and safe environment for students to grow and learn, both academically and personally. I know that we can accomplish these things by working together. 
 
As I transition to this new role over the next few weeks, I will work closely with Ms. Rubio and her team. I am eager to get to know each of you. Your input is invaluable, and I am here to listen and collaborate as we work together for the betterment of our school community. I look forward to partnering with all of you to make this a successful and enriching year for everyone.

I have been an educator for the past 25 years. I have served as a Teacher, Instructional Coach, Academic Dean and Assistant Principal with NEISD. My educational experience has been at middle school.

My hometown is Carrizo Springs, Texas. Go Wildcats! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sul Ross University and received my Master's of Education from Concordia University.

I am excited to join Jackson Middle School as an Assistant Principal. I look forward to serving the students, parents, teachers and community of Jackson MS. Together, we will provide an educational experience where all students are successful.
