About Us
Serving Grades Pre-K through 5
Welcome to Redland Oaks Elementary! Every person who walks through our door is a valued member of our family!
We were built in 1989. However, artifacts found by students, teachers and staff reveal over 8,000 years of learning and working at our Redland Oaks location! Prehistoric and historic remains from around our campus and a road cut from Redland to Driscoll Middle School date back to 9,000-7,000 B.C. We showcase many of these artifacts in a case in the library. Now famous Redland Raccoons: (Notable Raccoons)

Mission
Redland Oaks Elementary School is a safe, friendly, student-centered community. We look at each child as an individual and strive to meet their individual needs. The faculty here strives to empower students to take advantage of the many opportunities in front of them. We understand we are our students’ first step in a lifetime of learning. Social emotional learning is a key component to helping our students become successful. School is more than just academics. We are a proud Leader In Me School, teaching our students the seven habits of highly effective people. This gives them confidence, independence, and self-reliance. Our students understand they can’t control everything, so we empower them to change and control what they can. Our goal is to make sure our students don’t just have academic success, but become leaders who are ready for life outside our campus.
Vision
Our ultimate goal is for students to be successful in each and every way.
Education Approach
Through daily morning meetings, we focus on helping children develop socially and emotionally. We provide not only the core content but take time each day to meet with students in small groups to provide instruction based on their individual levels.Whether a child needs extra help to access the curriculum or the child needs enrichment to challenge them, we provide individualized instruction to meet their needs.

Our Cluster
Welcome to the MacArthur Cluster in the North East Independent School District. As a Redland Oaks Elementary School student, your child will establish a passion, curiosity, and foundation for life-long learning while nurturing their social and emotional skills. Outside of the classroom, your child can embrace what they love or try something new through diverse clubs, programs and organizations.
Your child will discover even more opportunities at Garner and Driscoll Middle School. As their academic foundation expands in the classroom, their circle of friends and experiences will grow through new opportunities in Athletics, Fine Arts, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, competitive UIL contests, and more.
At MacArthur High School, your child will excel academically and socially while embracing beloved Brahma traditions with memories that will last a lifetime. Your child has the freedom and support to pursue their passions in a variety of programs, organizations, and clubs – from Athletics to JROTC, Band, Dance, PALS, Photography, UIL, and much more. MacArthur is proud to be the only Dual Language high school in NEISD with thriving bilingual, bi-literate, and bicultural students. MacArthur is also home to NEISD’s unique magnet program MacUP. These future educators get a head start as a UTSA student and can graduate with more than 50 hours of college credit that goes toward their teaching degree.
There’s so much to discover in the MacArthur cluster. Thank you for choosing NEISD.
