Principal Biography
Welcome to Encino Park Elementary School!
I am proud to serve the Encino Park Elementary School and the community. These 9+ years, I have served both as assistant principal and principal. Encino Park is an amazing community that pulls together to create one of the best schools in the area.
I have been in education for, let’s just say a long time. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Jenny, for 24 years. Our children have attended Roan Forest, Tejeda and now Johnson HS. Our oldest is a senior and will be attending A&M Kingsville to earn her degree in Communication Disorders and to play golf on the Javelina Women’s Golf Team.
Although both my children play golf, I am a tennis player and love running. One of my most recent accomplishments is running the Grand Canyon, rim to rim to rim.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever have a question or need help.
Have a Wonderful Year!
James Miller, principal

Welcome Eagles! I’m thrilled to serve as your Assistant Principal again this year. I have been an educator for over 17 years. I’ve had the honor of serving as an Instructional Coach, Academic Trainer, RTI Facilitator, and teacher.
I usually say I belong to three continents: I was born in England (Europe), I grew up in Guyana (South America), and I’m a citizen of the United States of America (North America). I’ve been happily married for the past 34 years to a former Marine, Ramon, who is from Puerto Rico. We have three remarkable adult children: Brian, Stephen, and Mariah; we also have a cat, Daisy. Our children attended the following NEISD schools: Stahl Elementary, Harris Middle, and Madison High.
I believe education is a great avenue to success, and I have high expectations of all students. I will do my best to help students learn in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment that includes parents as partners.
