      Mrs. Cory Caroll

As the proud principal of Castle Hills Elementary, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead a campus steeped in tradition, family involvement and support. It is my mission to create an educational environment that builds strong and trusting relationships and high academic expectations to unlock the greatness that resides within our students, as well as our community.  Our school was awarded Leader in Me Lighthouse Certification in 2016 and we continue to center our core values around the fundamentals of Covey’s 7 Habits.  Our remarkable teachers have embraced Professional Learning Communities and meet every two weeks to ensure that every student is making progress.  When you enter our school, you will feel the warm and welcoming environment from the moment you enter our bright, cheerful campus. What I love most about Castle Hills is our unique program, with a modified year-round calendar, and strong enrichment in the arts and STEM.  The Castle is truly a great place to be!!!

I began my educational career in North East ISD 18 years ago, moving here from Wichita Falls, TX. I taught both general and special education at both Canyon Ridge Elementary and Tuscany Heights Elementary. I have had the honor of serving as an assistant principal at both Stone Oak Elementary and Bush Middle Schools collectively for almost 10 school years.  When I’m not at The Castle, I like to spend time with my husband, Ryan, of 22 years traveling the world.  We have a son, Cole (25), who spent time in the U.S. Navy and is now called North Texas home.

Want to learn more about The Castle and what we have to offer?  Please contact our main office to schedule a tour to see what sets us apart. I hope to see YOU around The Castle soon!

      Mr. Steven McCarthy

I began my educational career in the NorthEast Independent School District in 1992. I spent five years teaching at Redland Oaks Elementary and two years at Huebner Elementary before accepting an Assistant Principal position at Longs Creek. Over the past twenty-three years, I have had the honor of serving as an administrator in our incredible district. In 2020, I was honored to be asked to return to Castle Hills as the Assistant Principal.

My educational experiences have afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement. My educational philosophy is that all students can learn, given a positive learning experience, a committed and focused educational team, and an encouraging community.

When I’m not at school, I spend as much time as I can outdoors. My hobbies include bike riding, fishing, hunting, gardening, and carpentry.
