    The Larkspur Library mission is to provide students with lessons and activities that will create critical thinkers, digital leaders and excellent communicators. Lessons will engage students and teach them to make real world connections. Students will also have the opportunity to explore information that is of interest to them so that they can share what they have learned with others.

  • Who manages the library?

    Ruth Ramirez is the librarian and Illiana Flores is the assitant librarian.

  • When does the library open and close?

    The library opens at 7:45 a.m. and closes at 3:30.  Students will be allowed to checkout books anytime during the school day  except during morning announcements (7:30- 7:40) and during lunch break (11:30-12:00). Students must have a hall pass. Scheduled faculty meetings and club activities may affect after school hours.

  • How many books can I check out?

    Kinder & 1st: 1 book 

    2nd-5th  graders: 2 books 

    Parents: 3 books

  • What happens if I lose or damage a book?

    It is the responisbility of the student/ parent to pay for the lost or damaged book. This information is found in the NEISD Student- Parent Handbook on page 11. https://www.neisd.net/cms/lib/TX02215002/Centricity/Domain/205/2019-2020%20Elementary%20Handbook.pdf  A student will not be allowed to check out books until the fine is paid.
