Born and raised in San Antonio,  I graduated from the University of Texas in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development. I began my teaching career in North East, teaching 2nd grade at Stone Oak Elementary for three years. In 2005, I taught first and second grade at the Carver Academy. Then I moved to Alamo Heights and worked at Woodridge Elementary, teaching 1st and 2nd grade for ten years. I am so excited about being a 4th grade teacher this year at Castle Hills! What a wonderful environment for learners! I am dedicated to creating learning experiences that are engaging, differentiated and authentic.

My husband and I have been married since 2005. We have an twelve-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son. I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family, and watching Texas Longhorn football...Hook'em! I am grateful to have a job that allows me to do what I love-work with children that continue to inspire me each and every year. I look forward to a great year!
