Hi! My name is Amanda Perez. I am from San Antonio but also grew up in a military household that traveled a lot. As a kid I would spend time with family in San Antonio, but then we ended up spending a total of 8 years stationed overseas in Germany. When we returned, I attended Thoedore Roosevelt High School and Samuel Clemens High School. I graduated from high school in 2002. Right after high school, I went to the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated in 2007. 

I have been teaching since 2008 and I have been at Castle Hills Elementary since 2012. I spent nine years teaching special education. I first worked with high school students and then primary school. I love Castle Hills Elementary and I have called it my home away from home for 9 years now. I not only love this school, but I believe in it and it's mission. I trust it so much that my son attends Castle Hills Elementary. My husband and I live in San Antonio with our son, Anthony, and daughter, Ruby June. Anthony is 7 years old and Ruby will be 4 in November. 

I look forward to the coming school year and, no matter what challenges it brings, I will be here for you and your child.
