My name is Mrs. Ruiz and I am a 5th grade dual language teacher at El Dorado Elementary. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education and my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction both from Texas Tech University. My first language was Spanish and I learned a second language just like many of our students in the district. Going through that experience has truly helped me grow a passion for teaching by understanding the adversities and victories that come with being bilingual. 

Mi nombre es Sra. Ruiz y soy maestra de lenguaje dual de 5to grado en la escuela primaria El Dorado. Completé mi Licenciatura en Educación Bilingüe y mi Maestria en Curriculo e Instruccion, ambos de la Universidad de Texas Tech. Mi primer idioma fue el español y aprendí un segundo idioma al igual que muchos de nuestros estudiantes en el distrito. Pasar por esa experiencia realmente me ha ayudado a desarrollar una pasión por la enseñanza al comprender las adversidades y las victorias que conlleva ser bilingüe.
