Bradley students lead NEISD board meeting
Two inspiring Bradley Middle School students started the North East ISD Board of Trustee’s regular board meeting on Monday, Jan. 13, by leading our District leadership and guests in the invocation and pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags.
Eighth-grader Ben Ruiz led the invocation. He’s an A honor roll student, multisport athlete and gifted musician. Ben was awarded Outstanding Jazz Musician last year and recently had the honor of performing at the Midwest clinic in Chicago. He is also a leader on campus, being awarded the Bear of the Month several times and the Bradley Silver Star Award.
His proud family joined him, including his parents, Jose and Mily Ruiz, and his sister, Guiliana.
Seventh grader Abby Shipley led the pledges. Abby is also an A honor roll student and a member of the Bradley Student Council. She is an accomplished athlete, playing both tennis and volleyball for Bradley. She’s a member of the honors band and is very creative. She’s won numerous awards for creating videos, poems and posters in various contests.
She was joined by her parents, Wilfred and Bianca.
