Congratulations to the 2024 Texas Cavaliers' River Parade Art Contest winners!
This year, FOUR of our incredible artists were recognized for their hard work.
William Nguyen, a fifth grader at Camelot Elementary School, was selected as the District 2 Finalist. Derlene Lim, a fifth grader at Canyon Ridge Elementary School, was selected as the District 9 Finalist, and Blake Wenz, a fifth grader at Bulverde Creek Elementary School, was selected as the Non-City Council District Finalist. All three students received a check for $3,000 to go towards their campus art program!
Additionally, Tanner Caraveo, a fifth grader at Bulverde Creek, was selected as a runner up in the Non-City Council District, earning another $1,000 for his school art program.
Every year, elementary artists are asked to submit their artwork to the Texas Cavaliers' Art Contest. This contest is divided into the nine City Council districts, plus one Non-City council district for those campuses that don't fit within the boundaries of the others.
