Becoming a parent is what ignited my passion for teaching.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Brandon, for fifteen years and we have two beautiful daughters Isabella 17, and Guiliana 13. When my daughter Isabella was a toddler, I loved watching her play.  Seeing her eyes light up when she learned something new filled my heart with joy.  I knew then I was born to teach and often found myself talking about going back to college.  

Four years later, when Guiliana was born I realized there would never be a good time to return to school.  I just needed to stop making excuses as Nike says, “Just Do It!”  Two years later, I graduated from Texas A&M University-San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Since then I have completed my Masters of Education in Administration.    

I am a product of Northeast; I graduated from Madison High school.  This is my seventh year teaching at Walzem Elementary.  It is a privilege to serve such a great community of learners! I am looking forward to an amazing year.
