My name is Carlos Gutiérrez Salazar and I come originally from Tamaulipas, Mexico. My wife and I have 3 beautiful boys, two of them attend NEISD schools and the older one, a Johnson High School 2020 graduate, is a US Marine currently listed as a reserve, a college student and a food chain manager.

I come from a family of teachers in México and decided after some years that I graduated from college, at Monterrey Tech, to become a teacher.  I worked in the private sector for some years prior to getting into the education field; some experience I had was in the manufacturing and automotive industries. I also had a wonderful one-year experience at Walt Disney World in customer service at the Mexican Pavilion on 2003.

As a teacher; I have 18 completed years of experience, teaching mainly in the K-1 grade levels either at a bilingual or dual language programs. I love what I do with passion and conviction for my students and families. 

I currently teach Kindergarten in a Dual Language one-way classroom for the 2024-2025 school year.
