Hello! My name is Erika R. De Hoyos and I am originally from Uvalde, Texas but my home is San Antonio. I graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Bilingual Studies in 1998.

I have been a Bilingual teacher for 17 years. I worked with SAISD for 13 years where I taught first, second and third grade. I've been with NEISD since 2013.

I am married and I am blessed with 3 wonderful children. My oldest daughter is 26 years old. My other daughter is 25 years old. They are both working and going to school. My son who is 18 just graduated from Madison High School. He will be going to Texas Tech this fall.

Family time is very important to me. I have 5 brothers, 2 sisters and I enjoy spending time with them as often as I can. In my spare time I enjoy photography and most of all I love scrapbooking.

I love teaching and working with my students! I’m looking forward to working at the Vineyard Ranch this year. I know this year is going to be awesome! 

¡Hola! Soy la Sra. Erika R. De Hoyos. Nací en Uvalde, Texas, pero ya llevo tiempo viviendo en San Antonio. Estudié la Licenciatura en Estudios Interdisciplinarios con una especialización en Estudios Bilingües en UTSA y obtuve mi título en 1998.  

Llevo 17 años trabajando como maestra bilingüe. Trabajé con SAISD durante 13 años, donde enseñé primero, segundo y tercer grado.

Estoy casada y tengo la bendición de tener tres hijos maravillosos. Mis hijas tienen 25 y 26 años respectivamente, y ambas trabajan y estudian. Mi hijo tiene 18 años y se acaba de graduar. El asistirá a Texas Tech en el otoño.      

Para mí es muy importante pasar tiempo con mi familia. Tengo cinco hermanos y dos hermanas, y me gusta convivir con ellos lo más que puedo. Me gusta la fotografía y me fascina hacer álbumes de recortes.

¡Me encanta dar clases y trabajar con mis estudiantes! Estoy feliz de la vida que voy a poder trabajar en Vineyard Ranch este año. ¡Sé que éste va a ser un año fabuloso!
