I was born in Fabens, Texas; grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico; then lived in Florida for 23 years. I moved to San Antonio in 2006.

I have two beautiful children who are my pride and joy. My daughter studying engineering at UTA, and my son is a senoir this year.

I studied at University of New Mexico, and University of Northern Colorado and received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I later went to Florida Atlantic University to take the courses needed to get my Elementary Education Certification. 

I began working in Early Childhood Education when I was 18.  In ECE I went from teacher's assistant to director in 8 years.  After 3 years as director, I decided to go back into the classroom because that was where my heart was. I took several years off while my children were little. Then, after getting certified, I taught first grade in Boynton Beach, Florida before moving here.  My first year here I taught 1st grade then moved to 2nd for the next 6 years. This will be my 3rd year teaching Kindergarten.  

I sponsor the robotics club.  Robotics club is challenging and fun.  Students build Lego NXT robots and learn to program them using Lego Mindstorm software.  The team participates in the district robotics showcase, and if possible, will compete in a city wide competition.

I am looking forward to an exciting and challenging year of learning and discovery.
