I was born in Altus, Oklahoma on July 23, 19??. (A lady never tells her age!!) I have two sisters and one brother, all older than me. San Antonio has been my home since I was five years old!

I attended El Dorado Elementary, Krueger Middle School, and Mac Arthur High School (GO BRAHMAS!!). I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1992, becoming the only college graduate in my family! I was hired at Fox Run and have been teaching here ever since! I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grades! I also spent two years as the campus’s Science Facilitator. 

I was married in 1999 to Daniel Cullen. I have two beautiful daughters, Heather and Audrey. Heather just graduated from the University of North Texas.  Audrey is a freshman at Texas State University.  I am also the proud aunt of three nephews and eight nieces. 

I enjoy vacations with my family. I LOVE to read in any spare moments I may have. I enjoy photography and the challenge that comes with catching that perfect picture.  I really like Snoopy and Polar Bears. My favorite meal would be pretty much any type of meat and any type of potatoes! I HATE peanut butter. Even the smell makes me ill. Perfumes and colognes give me migraines! I like homemade chocolate chip and sugar cookies!

I love teaching. I just finished my 30th year of teaching. I can't imagine another profession that is more fulfilling.  I believe every child is unique, that includes their learning style.  I love the challenge that comes with finding the right way to teach each child. 

This year I am taking on a new role. I will be the Campus Targeted Support Teacher. This position will allow me to work with small groups of children that need some extra help, as well as with the fabulous teachers on our campus.
