Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!  I am very excited to be serving as your Principal at Fox Run Elementary.  

My own teaching career began in Tampa, Florida where I was born and raised.  I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and began my journey as an elementary school teacher.  After encouragement from my Principal, I went back to school and earned my Masters in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University.  

I was a classroom teacher for ten years in Tampa, Florida before moving to San Antonio, TX with my family.  I taught for three more years in North East ISD before becoming an Assistant Principal.  I served as an Assistant Principal for six years and was named Principal at Fox Run in January 2016.  

I truly believe as educators, we have the most rewarding job imaginable.  As an educator, my commitment continues to be to every child who walks through our door.  As a team, we will work together to provide opportunities for all students to grow as both learners and leaders at Fox Run.   

I look forward to working together with our entire Fox Run family in doing whatever it takes for our students.  They deserve it!

I am beyond excited to be joining Fox Run Elementary! I am a proud product of this amazing school district. I attended Stahl Elementary School, Driscoll Middle School, and James Madison High School. After graduating high school, I joined the United States Army as a Chemical Operations Specialist at Fort Hood, Texas. While there, I earned the rank of a Sergeant and deployed for combat operations in Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom in 2003.

I have an amazing daughter, Milanna, who graduated from Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in NEISD. She is currently attending college in hopes of becoming a psychologist. I also have a rambunctious son, Tucker, who is nine years old. He is a huge Manga fan and LOVES TO READ. He will do anything for ice cream or tacos. Tucker is definitely my “mini-me” in every way and loves to make everyone feel good and laugh whenever he can. When I am not at school, you will definitely find me with my family and friends living our best lives or at your local Whataburger. Yes, I am obsessed.

I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education through 6th grade, and graduated with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I also have a supplemental certification for teaching students who are English Language Learners. I have previously taught 3rd and 4th grades at Tuscany Heights Elementary School in NEISD. This will be my seventh year as an assistant principal in NEISD.

I love being a part of the Fox Run family! It is my goal for students to push themselves to achieve their maximum potential, and for our school community to help foster a lifelong love of learning and determination for all of our children. It is going to be a fantastic year!
