      Mr. Mario Guillen

Hello! My name is Mario Guillen and I enjoy the summer weather. That is not true. I prefer the fall weather especially because it is football season. I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and I stick to my team whether we win, lose or draw. I also enjoy grilling meat, especially beef. On several occasions during the school year I grill for the staff and students so you may smell the grill and witness the billowing smoke as it makes its way into the neighborhood.

I have been fortunate to serve as Principal at Steubing Ranch since August of 2014. Over the years I have created caring relationships with students and I am a firm believer that I have the best faculty and staff. How do I know that I have the best staff? Well, because we spend lots of time working in close proximity and we strive to provide a superior learning experience for all students. During our time together we make it a point to create lesson plans and instructional approaches that support all students. We believe that we are stronger together and we seek to learn from each other.

I highly encourage you to join us as a volunteer. There are multiple methods of connecting with the campus and in multiple capacities. You can connect in a macro or micro manner. You are welcome whether you have a full day or maybe just a few minutes. You also have the option of supporting teachers by taking items to cut or create at home.

So if you may see me riding a bike throughout the day as I check the perimeter of the campus or working the crosswalk during dismissal, please make it a point to visit with me. I would really appreciate meeting you.

      Mrs. Patricia Guarneri

I am excited to be back in Northeast ISD, where my career in public education first started. I began teaching in Northeast ISD at Olmos elementary in 2008. During my time at Northeast, I was honored to serve as a bilingual teacher in grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and Dual language in 2nd grade. After five years in NEISD, I was offered a teaching position in San Antonio ISD, where I would remain there for 8 and a half years. During my time in SAISD, I served as a teacher, teaching in monolingual and dual language classrooms at Lamar Elementary. In 2016, I left the classroom to become an ELAR Instructional Coach, serving at Pershing and finally at Kelly Elementary. Although I greatly value my time and experience in SAISD, I am so happy and excited to come back to NEISD as the Assistant Principal at Steubing Ranch Elementary. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet and serve the Steubing Ranch Community for years to come.
