Hello, my name is Maria Carmen Sepulveda. I am excited to serve at Ridgeview Elementary as a 4th Grade Bilingual Teacher. I came into education in a roundabout way. For 17 years, I managed both Kmarts and Bed Bath & Beyonds, living in all five points of Texas! It was quite an experience for a little girl from the Valley! After the birth of my son and with much influence from my family full of educators, I landed in education. I still believe it was one of the best decisions of my life. My life has been enriched with the many interactions with students and families. Every year a new challenge. Every year a new reward as our students succeed!  I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and was priviledged to personally experience growing up Bilingual, Biliterate, and Bicultural! My work at Ridgeview feels like I have come full circle.

I live in San Antonio, Texas with my better half, Walter Martinez, my son, Chris a student at UTSA, and our very spoiled dog, Chief. I love to bicycle (20+ miles!), paint, Cricut, woodwork, and fish!
