Hello! Let me tell you a little about myself. This is my 13th year at the fabulous Colonial Hills  I have a B.A. from UTSA. During the time I have been here I have taught in the classroom for grades 5, 1, and 3. Seven of my years Colonial Hills were spents working as ESL support, working predominately refugee children. I am excited to have the priviledge of working with refugee families again this year.  Helping children from all over the world master academics in English has become my passion.  Please know that I am here to support your families any way I can.

My own immagation story and claim to fame is that I am the first natural born citizen in my family. My parents and sister arrived from Austria in the fall or 1960, six months before I was born. My parents instilled in me how important education was and how that was the path to success. They also made sure we never lost our culture along the way. The goal for students is to gain as much academic knowledge as possible, learn about our culture maintaining their own culture. 

Origianlly from the midwest, I grew up a Cubs and Bears fan but upon arriving to San Antonio the Spurs stole my heart. I am married with 2 grown human children, 1 grandaughter and 2 
ORIGINALLY FROM ELKHART, IN, I MOVED TO SAN ANTONIO AT AGE 20. I GREW UP A CUBS AND BEARS FAN BUT FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS UPON ARRIVAL! I’M MARRIED, HAVE 2 GROWN CHILDREN AND 2 DOGS. OTHER THAN ENJOYING TIME WITH MY FAMILY, I DELIGHT IN GARDENING, LISTENING TO LIVE AND RECORDED MUSIC, AND WATCHING MY FAVORITE SPORTS TEAMS. MY FAVORITE NEW SPORTS TEAM IS MY GRANDDAUGHTER’S SOCCER TEAM.
