Mrs. Antoinique Charles

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Antoinique Charles, and I have the honor of being your child’s fourth grade teacher this year. I am very excited about working with your child and supporting their growth throughout the school year.

I’m originally from Louisiana, and I began my teaching career there. I taught in Lafayette for four and a half years before having the incredible opportunity to teach in Yokosuka, Japan, for a year and a half. While in Japan, I had the privilege of working with students from military families—an experience I deeply value.

In February 2016, I joined the team at Camelot Elementary as a second grade teacher, and I’ve been part of this wonderful school community ever since. This year marks my 17th year in education.

My philosophy of learning is centered around the belief that each child is unique and learns in their own way. I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and excited to learn. I believe in using hands-on activities, encouraging creativity, and incorporating play into learning to keep students engaged and motivated.

My goal is to build a community of learners who are eager to work hard and have fun. I want each student to leave my classroom with greater confidence and the ability to apply what they’ve learned to real-life situations. Most importantly, I hope to inspire a lifelong love of learning in each of them.

Thank you for entrusting me with your child’s education. I look forward to a fantastic year together!
