Mrs. Choury

Guten Tag!  Willkommen bei Deutsch an der Johnson High School!  

My name is Frau Choury and I will be teaching all levels of German this school year.  I have been teaching a total of 17 years, the last 3 of which were German.  I have also taught French and English.

I am looking forward to meeting my students this year and working on proficiency in German at all levels.  My focus is always what you CAN do and not what you CANNOT!  Together, we will build your language skills and explore the cultures of German speaking countries.  

As I am new to Johnson, it is my hope that you will share with me some of the great things you are doing here on campus and help me to create/continue a German club.  I also would like to encourage participation in potential off campus ideas I have, such as Wurstfest in New Braunfels and Sprachfest (a German competition hosted by the local chapter of AATG).  Some of you may have German heritage or have had an opportunity to travel to or live in Germany, and I would love to chat about those experiences as well.  You will bring so much to the community I want to create!
