I was raised right here in San Antonio and am a graduate of NEISD so I'm excited that I get to teach for this amazing district.  After graduating from high school, I went to Baylor University in Waco, Texas before I moved back to San Antonio to work as an athletic trainer.  I did that for many years before my husband, who was also raised here in San Antonio, and I began adopting our children.  When I became a mom, I decided that it was time to go into the classroom full time instead of working so many hours outside of the school day.  Using my degree in Biology from Baylor, I began teaching science.  Most of the time, including this year, I have been privileged to teach Biology- my degree field.  This is now my 19th year in public education.  I absolutely love life sciences and believe that my background in sports medicine gives me great insight into how science will impact everyone's lives.  Whether that looks like them being an athlete or just dealing with the aches and pains of getting older, I want my students to understand more of the world around them especially their body systems and how they can care for themselves and their families.  I look forward to teaching your student!
