Greenback Open House Information

Welcome to Mr. Cooley's webpage!  I am excited to be your child's teacher at Johnson High School!  I am a native Texas and was born and raised in southeast Texas in Groves, TX.  I am a 2006 graduate of Texas Lutheran University in Seguin where I graduated with Honors and played baseball.  After graduating I entered education as a science teacher and a coach in the SCUC ISD. I am now beginning my 18th year in education and my 1st at Johnson High School.  I have spent the majority of my career at Steele High School in the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD teaching Anatomy, Biology, IPC, and Physics as well as coaching football and baseball for 7 years there.  I have also spent time as a middle school coach and science teacher early in my career and even 3 years as a middle school science teacher in Florida.  I will be teaching Chemistry and IPC this coming 2023-24 school year and look forward to a new chapter in my educational career!  Although I enjoyed my time at my previous employer, I decided to join Johnson because of it's superb reputation and the chance to work closer to home and my family.  My wife Ashley is a physician and we have 2 kids, Hudson and Parker.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.  I will be using Google Classroom to post assignments and information regarding my class.  Please click the link below to be taken to my Google Classroom!
