I am so excited to continue to teach at Ridgeview Elementary with wonderful students. I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I graduated with a degree in Bachelors of Science in Special and General Education. After graduating in Utah, I worked as a special education teacher for 6 years. Thereafter, I moved to Texas with my husband. I started my Texas teaching career at North Side ISD as a Redirect teacher. I then joined the North East ISD family in 1999. I have been a special education teacher at Ridgeview for 24 years. I have fulfilled my dream of being a teacher now for 30 years. 

    I have been married to my husband since 1994, and we have three beautiful children. My oldest two boys graduated from North East High School. My youngest child is currently attending North East schools; we are a true North East family.

    One of my passions is working with students that have diverse learning styles. I was selected as teacher of the year in my 2nd year of teaching. In addition, North East selected me for Teacher of the Game at a San Antonio Spurs game. I continue to strive to guide your children to independence in the major domains of their lives. Independence will assist your child in becoming a active member in our community. I have attended numerous trainings working with children with disabilities. There was an emphasis on Autism. Among other things, this training has included T.E.A.C.C.H (structured teaching) and A.B.A. (Applied Behavior Analysis). Throughout the year, I look forward to collaborating with you!
