Senior Spotlight: LEE's Christian Bailiff
Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School senior Christian Bailiff is excited about college.
He plans to attend Texas A&M University and study computer science.
That dream got a little closer to reality recently after Christian earned a near-perfect score on the ACT.
He scored 35 out of 36, which puts him in the 99th percentile of test takers. Less than 1 percent of students score that well. It's a testament to his hard work and dedication.
“I think my four years here at STEM helped me prepare for the test,” said Christian. “I mean, I didn’t necessarily study explicitly for it, but all the courses I have taken here have helped me understand the things I needed to.”
Christian credits his years in the STEM Academy magnet school programs at Nimitz Middle School and LEE for preparing him for the future. It didn’t only prepare him for the test but also helped cultivate his love for computer science.
“Miss Sampayo has been a great teacher, and she’s really helped me learn the computer science subjects I want to learn,” said Christian. “I would also like to thank my parents for pushing me to work so hard toward my goals.”
Congratulations on your high score, Christian. We look forward to seeing you follow your dreams #theNEISDway
