Hello Tuscany Heights Tigers! You may recognize me as Miss Miketinac, but I just got married in June and will now be Mrs. McDowell!

I was born and raised in San Antonio, where my love for teaching began at a very early age, and I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. I have been a first grade teacher at THE since March 2017.

I strive to utilize my energetic attitude and passion for teaching to foster a classroom environment where every student is capable of learning. My genuine dedication to individual student success creates an environment to grow each student as a whole. By focusing not only on academics, but social/emotional growth and community responsibility as well, I aim to adequately prepare students for their future.
