It is an honor to serve as the principal for Jackson-Keller Elementary School. As Principal, one of my main goals is to provide the best customer service to you and our community members. I can’t wait to meet you, the students, teachers, staff, and community members. I will work diligently to ensure a positive transition to the school and community. Our hardworking teachers and staff are committed to providing the best education to your children and will continue to form a strong connection of learning between the school and your home. We will continue to build strong relationships with your children to ensure them that Jackson-Keller Elementary genuinely cares about their success. I look forward to sharing my skills as an instructional leader with teachers and staff and becoming a partner with you to help and support your child’s learning in and out of school.

In addition to my professional accomplishments, my greatest achievement is my family. My strongest supporters are my wife and 4 children. As a parent, I expect the best education for my children, so I want to ensure that Jackson-Keller Elementary provides the best educational experience possible for every student who comes through our doors.

My name is Juanita Blackburn, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Jackson-Keller Elementary School and call myself a “Jackson-Keller Jack Rabbit”! 

I earned my Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  As I continued my education journey, I earned my Master’s in Education from Texas State University.  This is my 17^th year with our wonderful district!  My journey in education has all been at Roan Forest Elementary, another Dual-Language Campus. 

I love the diverse educational opportunities that our district has to offer our students and families.   I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with the students and staff at Jackson-Keller!  I am not only a servant leader, but a lifelong learner!  I cannot wait to work with all of the dedicated students, staff, and community here! 

My husband and I are empty nesters (five sons) with a lively rottweiler, Thor!  In our spare time, we love spending time with our children and grandchildren!
