Mrs. Daryn Polanco
Mrs. Polanco grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Texas in 1995, with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her emphasis in her undergraduate work was on reading and language arts. In 1998, Mrs. Polanco received her master's degree from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction in mathematics. In 2016, she received her master's degree from the University of Texas-San Antonio in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Polanco taught fourth grade for three years and GT for thirteen years at Huebner.
She became a teacher because she was inspired by her grandmother and mother, who were teachers. She has a passion for the Maker movement and believes ALL students deserve the opportunity to have challenges that use parts of their brain not always utilized in a regular classroom setting.
Mrs. Polanco was hired as the Assistant Principal at Huebner in 2016. Most recently she was hired as our Principal at Bulverde Creek. She is thrilled to be a part of this amazing community and already loves the staff and families. In her free time, Mrs. Polanco enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, gardening, boating, and hanging out with her eighth grader Ava, her husband Marc, and her dogs Layla and Chloe.

Mrs. Bethany Thompson
I am excited to continue as the assistant principal at Bulverde Creek Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. I have had the privilege of working with NEISD for the past four years as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. I am a proud graduate of Texas Tech University and received my master’s degree in administration from Angelo State. Though I have held various responsibilities in education, I have thrived in serving and supporting my school community. My goal is to make our campus a place that our students will love coming to each day to make lasting positive memories where they know they are valued and cared for. I will continue the high expectations on campus for our students and will support them to reach their full potential to benefit their current and future goals.
