Reminders

*Please keep a change of clothes in your child's backpack to have in case of spills or accidents.
*All parents will need to be DPS (Department of Public Safety) cleared in order to volunteer at school, help with the classroom parties, or to go on field trips. Please see the NEISD web site to get your clearance and for additional volunteer information.  
*If you have a change of transportation for your child please be sure to send a note with your child in the morning or email me before noon the day of the change.  If it is after noon, please call the office at (210) 407-8200. so they are able to give me the message.  

At Home

Here are some things that you can do at home with your child.  Please practice the following skills:
*READ! READ! READ!- read to your child each and every night.
* Rhyming- say words that rhyme (word families) such as cat-hat-bat-rat, or ten-hen-pen-den, etc.  
* Counting and writing numbers 0-30- write and count numbers in order and in random order from 0-30.  Our kindergarten goal will be to count up to 100!
* Writing name correctly- Remind your child to capitalize only the first letter in names.  Also practice writing lowercase letters correctly.
