Mrs. Olivarez

I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, “the City of Mountains.”  I am a Bilingual-certified teacher in Early Childhood Education, and this is my 20^th year teaching four-year-old students. I worked for two years at OXFORD, a private school in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. I also spent one year as a prek lead assistant in SAISD, 14 years in BRYANISD, and currently this is my 3^rd year in NEISD.  My hobbies are cooking, dancing, and getting together with family and friends.  I believe that Pre-K is the foundation of a good education.  I love seeing my students grow and being a part of their happiness as they experience school for the first time.  I am very happy to be a part of the Walzem Elementary family.

Nací en Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico "La ciudad de las montañas."  Soy maestra certificada bilingüe en Educación Infantil y este es mi vigésimo año enseñando a niños de cuatro años. Trabajé durante dos años en OXFORD, una escuela privada en Monterrey, N.L., México. También pasé un año como asistente de prekínder en SAISD, 14 años en BRYANISD, y actualmente este es mi tercer año en NEISD. Mis pasatiempos son cocinar, bailar y reunirme con familia y amigos. Creo que el Pre-K es la base de una buena educación. Me encanta ver crecer a mis estudiantes y ser parte de su felicidad mientras experimentan la escuela por primera vez. Estoy muy feliz de ser parte de la familia de Walzem Elementary.
