Benjamin Sickel

I grew up in a military family spending my childhood growing up in San Diego, California. After graduating high school, I played collegiate baseball and earned my bachelor’s degree from Baker University, in Baldwin City, Kansas. I began my teaching career teaching middle school social studies in Kansas and coaching multiple sports. This included being the varsity head baseball coach. In 2004, I moved to San Antonio where I taught middle school science and social studies at Northside ISD. While teaching and coaching at NISD, I earned my master’s degree in educational leadership from Texas A&M, Kingsville. Shortly after earning my master’s degree, I became an assistant principal (AP) at Seguin High School before coming to North East ISD. At NEISD, I was an AP at Nimitz Middle School and Roosevelt High School. After 13 years of serving as an AP here at NEISD, I am proud to be serving as the Principal at the NorthEast Alternative Center helping our students and community.
