Maturation Information

MATURATION

Maturation classes are held in the Spring for 4^th and 5^th grade boys/girls during the school day. An evening class for 3^rd grade girls and their parents also is held in the Spring.

Fourth and Fifth grade boys are girls will be separated for each class.  In 4^th grade, the content covers how the body changes during maturation and focuses on the gender that is being taught.  In 5^th grade, the students will learn about the opposite sex.  This is NOT a sex education class and questions regarding sex education will be directed back to the parent(s).

Approximately two weeks before the nurse presents the Maturation classes, there will be a "Parent Preview" opportunity for parents to review the material/videos.
