Maturation Information

Maturation classes are held in the Spring for 4th and 5th grade boys/girls during the school day. An evening class for 3rd grade girls and their parents also is held in the Spring.

Fourth and Fifth grade boys are girls will be separated for each class.  In 4th grade, the content covers how the body changes during maturation and focuses on the gender that is being taught.  In 5th grade, the students will learn about the opposite sex.  This is NOT a sex education class and questions regarding sex education will be directed back to the parent(s).

Approximately two weeks before the nurse presents the Maturation classes, there will be a "Parent Preview" opportunity for parents to review the material/videos.
