Medication on Campus

Students are not allowed to carry medications to school (this includes cough drops, lip balm, and any over-the-counter medication or vitamin). All medications must be brought to the clinic by an adult. Prescription medication will be administered only in accordance with pharmacy label instructions and physician orders. Long term medications must have a Medication Administration Request form completed by the ordering doctor and signed by the parent or guardian. Non-prescription medication may be administered only on a 10-day calendar basis with the completion of a short-order form from the parent or guardian. This form is completed in the clinic when the medication is brought to school. All unused medication is to be picked up by the parent or designated adult.
