The 26-27 School Choice Application Window is Now Closed

The School Choice application window begins the first school business day of December at 7:00 am and ends at the close of school business on the last Friday of July.

What This Means for Your Family

Under School Choice, a parent or guardian can request his or her child be transferred to another school within the district other than the one serving their residence.

  • If you live within NEISD boundaries, your child is assigned to a campus based on your address.
  • With School Choice, you may request a transfer to a different NEISD school.
  • Approval depends on available space at the requested campus and grade level.

PLEASE NOTE: Magnet programs and Interdistrict Transferring require separate applications.
