Ms. Catherine “Nikole” Jones
I am the very proud principal of Tuscany Heights Elementary! The 2025–2026 school year marks my fourth year leading our incredible Tiger community. Go Tigers!
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis from Texas A&M University in 1995 and later completed my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2016.
My journey in education began while stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where I taught computer classes to adults at a local community college. It was there I discovered my true passion for teaching. After returning to San Antonio, I taught 3rd and 4th grade for six years before serving as an Instructional Intervention Teacher (IIT), supporting students with reading challenges.
In 2016, I was named Assistant Principal at El Dorado Elementary and later served as Assistant Principal at Vineyard Ranch Elementary. These roles helped shape my leadership philosophy and deepened my commitment to student growth and success.
I’m passionate about developing well-rounded, 360-degree learners and creating a positive, memorable elementary school experience. I feel truly fortunate to work alongside the dedicated staff, students, and families of Tuscany Heights.
On a personal note, I have two wonderful children. My daughter has completed her college degree in Psychology, and my son, a college graduate, is now proudly working in the field of education as well.

I am honored to serve the Tuscany Heights Elementary community as the assistant principal! This is my 25th year in education and my third year at Tuscany Heights, and I absolutely love being part of this amazing school community.
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, I earned both my Bachelor’s Degree in General and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In 2022, I returned to BYU to complete a second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. My career has included teaching Special Education in public schools as well as working as an Associate Clinical Professor of Special Education at BYU.
On a personal note, I am blessed with three wonderful stepchildren, one sweet grandson, and a daughter who is excited to be starting 2nd grade this year right here at Tuscany Heights.
I am passionate about helping all students reach their full potential and supporting a positive, inclusive school environment where every child can thrive. I’m thrilled to continue working alongside our dedicated staff, students, and families to make Tuscany Heights the best it can be!
