COMPENSATION PLAN

2012–2013 SCHOOL YEAR


On Monday, June 11, 2012, the Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the following Compensation Plan for the 2012-2013 school.

New Teachers and Librarians:

$46,634 Starting Pay (no experience) for 10-Months

Starting salaries for all other new hire teachers will be based upon the Commissioner’s Rules on Creditable Years of Service up to a maximum base pay of $58,474.

Returning Teachers and Librarians:
Teachers and librarians who earned a creditable year of experience will receive a 2% general pay increase equal to $1,034 annually.

Teachers and librarians who did not earn a creditable year of experience will receive a 1% pay scale adjustment equal to approximately $557 annually.

Eligibility for Advanced Degree Stipends:
Employees assigned to a classroom teaching assignment may be eligible for an advanced degree stipend. In order to receive the $1,800 Master’s Degree and $1,500 Doctorate Degree stipend(s), the advanced degree major must be in at least one of the following areas:

1. Teacher’s Assignment
2. Curriculum & Instruction
3. Teaching

Non-teaching positions are not eligible for advanced degree stipends.

All Other Employees:
Employees who earned a creditable year of experience will be eligible for a 2% general pay increase calculated off the midpoint of the pay grade for each position.

Employees who did not earn a creditable year of experience will be eligible for a 1% pay scale adjustment calculated off the midpoint of the pay grade for each position.
