Counseling Office

  • Counselors will return to the office July 26th.  If you need assistance over the summer, please contact the ISA office at 210-356-0900.  We will also reply to our respective emails when possible.

    Office Hours Starting 7/26/21:

    MRS. MILLER (10th, 11th & 12th graders):8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    MS. FELDMAN (9th graders, initial 504s): Mondays & Tuesdays, 11:30-4:30; Wednesdays & Thursdays, 8:00-1:00

    Students are welcome to contact us before school, after school, or during their lunch period.

Comprehensive Guidance Plan

  • Guidance Curriculum

    The guidance curriculum is designed to systematically provide lessons to students that facilitate growth, development, and transferable skills in the areas of educational, career, personal, and social development. Guidance lesson topics will include Healthy Coping Skills and Mental Health, Healthy Relationships, Bullying, Cyber-Bullying, and Social Media Safety, and Healthy Life Choices.

    Responsive Services

    The purpose of responsive services is to intervene on behalf of students whose immediate personal concerns or circumstances put their continued educational, career, personal, and social development at risk. These services include responding to crisis, individual counseling, group counseling, and parent conferences. 

    Individual Planning

    The purpose of individual planning is to guide all students as they plan, monitor, and manage their individual educational, career, personal, and social development.

    System Support

    The purpose of system support is to identify and coordinate resources and activities on campus and in the community that indirectly benefit students.
