• ISA's curriculum emphasizes a global perspective, and we believe that the best way to learn about other perspectives and cultures is to interact with them. ISA has sister schools in South Korea, Japan, and Germany.  All ISA students participate in grade-level travel experiences.  Freshmen travelled to Arkansas (2006-2019) where they visited Heifer International, a global poverty simulation.  Beginning in 2021, 9th graders will travel to Houston to study climate change and urbanization.  Sophomores travel to New Mexico where they study assimilation and acculturation. Juniors travel to Alabama where they study the American Civil Rights Movement to understand the importance of social justice and action.  Seniors travel to Washington, D.C., where they plan and conduct field research to develop public policy recommendations.  ISA students are also eligible for scholarships each year through CIEE’s Global Navigator study abroad summer programs.
