Critical Updates: Coronavirus

As promised, North East ISD wants to make sure you have up-to-date information when it comes to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on our District.
Due to Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order, North East ISD schools will stay closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year.

  • What is Coronavirus?

Coronaviruses have been around for decades and are perhaps best known for causing illnesses like the common cold, with symptoms like coughing, sneezing and other upper respiratory issues. In late 2019, a new coronavirus was discovered. Please visit the CDC website for accurate, up-to-date information and recommendations about COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQs

As North East ISD continues to monitor the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), we know there are a lot of questions surrounding this respiratory illness. The District wants to keep our parents and community informed as we work closely with local health officials and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

NEISD Health Services has created a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to help answer questions you may have. We will update the FAQ as needed.

  • When should I keep my child home from school?

  • What cleaning is being done routinely?

  • Should I send my child to school wearing a mask?
