A BIT ABOUT ME
A brief overview about your teacher.
I’m originally from the valley. I was a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher at a middle school, before moving up to an early college high school, where I was the college and career advisor for juniors and seniors. This will be my 13th year in education, with three years of online teaching, totaling 16 years.
I have three amazing children, a 24-year-old daughter who just graduated from UTSA; an 9-year-old daughter who just became a 4th grader, and lastly, my sweet baby boy who has just turned 5 years old and is in kindergarten. I also have a wonderful husband who has supported me through all my endeavors and encourages me to try new things.
I enjoy reading non-fiction and fictional books. Every now and then I will enjoy a mystery or rom-com story.
I enjoy crafting and researching new and exciting ways to make learning fun and enjoyable for you. I have a passion for learning and with that comes my passion for teaching.
Lastly, I enjoy cycling. I have been cycling since I was a child but have recently become an avid cyclist. I have a trail bike, which I ride when exploring the lovely greenway trails, and I have a road bike, which I ride when I feel the need for speed, long-distance riding, or when I sign up to do organized rides/races.
