Colonial Hills thanks Scout Troops for beautification

The Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of America completed their projects at Colonial Hills Elementary School on May 21. The Boy Scout, Dre Barrera, completed his Eagle Scout Project. He built a 4-foot tall pyramid garden including a drip line irrigation system. Bright yellow and orange Lantana was planted. The Girl Scouts Troop 726 earned their Silver Award by labeling the plants in the school garden. The labels included the name of the plants and a description.

The Colonial Hills school community is growing. The campus currently has 19 horizontal garden beds and 7 vertical gardens. Colonial Hills  is so grateful for these great community partnerships. Their hearts are filled with gratitude to all who have lent a hand to beautifying the campus.
