Magnet School Programs

Magnet Program Transportation

At North East ISD, we want every student to have access to the unique opportunities our magnet programs provide. That’s why we offer dedicated transportation options for all middle and high school magnet students—including those who live outside their assigned NEISD campus boundaries. Through School Choice, any student in San Antonio can apply to attend one of our magnet schools, and transportation is available to make the journey possible.

Our Magnet Programs

Expansive magnet curriculum targets college and career interests by offering specialized academics in aerospace, agriscience, automotive mechanics, construction, cybersecurity, engineering, global studies, healthcare, media, performing arts, STEM and more.

NEISD offers highly acclaimed academic magnet school programs across a variety of in-demand industries. Students are able to gain real-world knowledge and training through specialized equipment, community partnerships, and advanced structured education to give them an edge on both college and job applications. Students anywhere across San Antonio are eligible to apply now to access our unique learning environments and growth opportunities so they can start their futures today.

2025-26 Magnet Application Timeline

Each magnet has an application on their website. Students must meet minimum requirements to be considered for enrollment, with requirements varying by magnet school program. If there are more qualified students than seats available in a magnet, students may be selected by lottery.
  • Applications Open: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
  • Lottery Application Deadline: Monday, January 19th, 2026 at 11:59 PM
  • Acceptance Notifications: January 30th, 2026 @ 4:30pm
  • Deadline to Accept: February 13th, 2026
  • Re-Open Application: February 2nd, 2026
  • Open Enrollment Deadline: July 31th, 2026
